Hotel Roditha Banjarbaru

We spent four nights here, and the room service food was quite tasty. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the receptionist and other staff were helpful and friendly. Its central city location is another reason I’d recommend it.

Breakfast was tasty enough, and being near Lambung Mangkurat University means it’s easy to find food around campus. The location is strategic. My room layout felt more like a kost than a hotel, and the AC didn’t cool it enough. The door stopper was in the way and I tripped over it easily. At rates of IDR 600K++, I expected more. Still, there aren’t many hotel options in Banjarbaru, so I felt I didn’t have much choice. 😅

The staff were great and provided very good service, but the room was dreadful, especially the Superior Deluxe room with no window. The corridor had an eerie yellowish warm light, and most of the lights were switched off during the day. There was no window or other way for sunlight to get in. The room lighting was really poor, and a windowless room should have more lights to make up for that. The matic room spray stank and hurt my nose. The bathroom was awful, and the bath supplies were in bad condition. I wouldn’t dare touch them.

The service was excellent, but the parking area has only one-way access, so you have to coordinate with security if you want to drive out. At the wedding party, the food wasn’t the best, and the lift only fits 6-7 people, so it gets crowded.
