OYO 2197 Pulau Laut Guest House

All in all, good 👍

I paid and checked in, but when I came back from work around midnight, exhausted, the room key was gone. They said they had taken it, which made no sense. Then they claimed the room was a mess when I opened it. It was so rude to go into a guest's room without care. They seemed to think I wasn't coming back, even though my things were still there. They were so arbitrary. I really hated the whole experience.

My parents stayed there for the first time and were given a room at the back. It smelled a little musty, the lighting was dim, and there was no soap. The price at the beginning of last year was reasonable. The location is central, with places to eat nearby at different price points. Parking is tight, with room for only two cars, though more motorbikes can fit if parked neatly. The hotel is no longer partnered with OYO, and the toilet in the room I got yesterday was broken.

The price is low and the quality is still okay. The lighting is a bit lacking, since there are only night lights and no fixture to install overhead. I also felt nervous leaving my motorbike in the parking area because there's no fence. There is CCTV and I got insurance too, but I was still a little worried, haha. Remember to lock the handlebars just in case 👍🏻 Still, it's nice. Awesome.
