Utama Raya Villa & Hotel

I only visited the beach and didn’t stay in the hotel rooms. It’s a nice place to spend time by the sea, though the water isn’t really suitable for swimming. Kids can play there, and the restaurant food was alright. Oddly, all the toilets are paid, even for customers.

The building looks nice, but the only amenity I found was soap. There was no shampoo, body wash, or even toilet paper, though I could manage without those. Mosquitoes were the real problem: they were in the room and all around the hotel. At a minimum, the hotel should control them in the rooms. I travel for business often and have stayed in many hotels, but this was the worst. It felt like the place was for mosquitoes rather than people. I strongly recommend avoiding it.

I think a toll highway will be built here, which could make the area less quiet.

Avoid coming during the holidays. You’ll pay a high room rate and have to put up with noise.
