OYO 1230 Kampoeng Osing Syariah Guesthouse

The owner is really humble, and the place feels cozy and clean.

The scenery is beautiful.

We found the place through an app while planning a weekend in BWI with our extended family. It was peak season at the end of December 2023, so although we needed 11 rooms, we could only get 9, with extra beds. We picked it for the pool and its good Google reviews, and booked through the WhatsApp contact on Instagram. It’s fairly close to BWI’s well-known attractions and food spots, and very close to ****mart. Check-in went smoothly and safely. The receptionist had our key ready, though there was some miscommunication and the extra bed wasn’t ready at first. It was sorted out shortly after. That mattered to us since we’ve had other accommodations ask for extra fees or give our room away. The standard rooms are spacious, and the family room with 3 queen beds is especially large. The AC and TV worked. In Djawatan 16, one room on the second floor, the AC didn’t cool well because of its position or direction. We told the owner and asked for a fan, and they quickly brought us a large one so the AC air could reach the bed. There’s plenty of parking, with decent shade, and a poolside room where the family can sit comfortably and eat together. One suggestion for the owner: move the AC in Djawatan 16 as soon as possible.

What matters most is that any problems get dealt with quickly, and that’s been the case here. The place is comfortable. Keep up the good work looking after guests, and I hope things continue to improve.
