Oyo 1579 Kate El Inn

The low price we paid is the only reason I'm giving it an extra star. The hotel itself is okay, but poor cleaning and maintenance have left it in bad shape. The urine smell was so strong it kept getting into the room, and the bed clearly needs replacing as soon as possible. I wouldn't choose it if I had to drive the next morning.

For a cheap place, the room we got was still unacceptable. There was mold on the ceiling and hundreds of ants everywhere. They called it cleaning, but it meant spraying ant poison all over the room. The smell was so strong I could barely breathe. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The area itself might not have seemed so bad, but the employee arrived at our room carrying insecticide, which already made us uneasy. The place is very cheap, but being unable to sleep there because of the conditions isn't acceptable. The walls were moldy and ants covered everything, so we went back to reception and asked for another room. They just sprayed the whole room with insecticide again, until even they started coughing. It was worse afterward: dead ants all over the floor and the rest crawling on the walls. We ended up sitting outside the room until morning instead of sleeping.

Worst stay. Not clean, ants everywhere.
