I’ve stayed here twice, and it feels like a home away from home. The street is quiet and clean, and I felt very safe. The location is central in Banyuwangi, with Roxy shopping centre just a short walk or Go Jek ride away for everyday necessities. The staff are lovely, especially Ibu, who goes out of her way to make guests comfortable. She helped arrange an Mt Ijen trip at the best price, then drove me around to see local attractions and eateries at no extra charge. Breakfast was fresh, authentic Javanese food each day, and there was always more than I could finish. My room was comfortable, with cool air conditioning and a western toilet. Fast, unlimited wifi was a bonus. I’ve stayed in homestays all around Indonesia, and this is among my top two or three. I’d recommend it for solo travelers, couples, or groups.

Basic rooms, but clean and comfortable, and the whole stay was great. Ibu was so friendly and interested in us. She took us for a delicious meal and to visit the local market, then arranged an Igen tour without any trouble. Breakfast was delicious too. She even drove us to the train station for our 5am departure.

I loved the homestay decorations, and the staff treated us kindly and warmly. My husband had booked two days for 200k, but when we arrived, they gave us a room priced at 250k and still charged us the amount we had booked. A big promo, maybe? Thanks, welaran homestay :D
