The check-in depended on getting a WhatsApp reply, and everything was handled through WhatsApp. My room hadn’t been cleaned properly: there was underwear left on the bed, sand on the floor, and the towels were messy. When I complained, they only said they were short-staffed. Unprofessional and far below what I expect from Traveloka. Very disappointing.

I booked three days but changed hotels after just one night. The sheets were filthy, with visible yellow stains, and I ended up sleeping in my clothes. The WiFi barely worked, so I had to use all my mobile data. There was no shower gel, the toilet was broken, and there was no sink, so I basically had to use the shower head. What really angered me was being told hot water cost 2,000 Indonesian rupiah per cup in a paper cup. They seem desperate to make money. Why not take a water dispenser to Antarctica and sell it there? They’d be millionaires! The room did have AC and two bottles of water, and there was hot water for showering, but it kept changing from icy cold to scalding hot.

It’s close to lots of tourist spots and just behind Roxy Mall. The room was clean, the atmosphere calm and comfortable, and the staff helpful. The price was affordable for the facilities. I’d come back when I visit Banyuwangi.

Cheap and comfortable, with a 24-hour market right next door. It’s also close to Boom Blambangan, McD, Fore, KFC, Roxy, and Ramayana. What more do you need?
