Alltrue Sydney Hotel Batam Center

The power went out during my stay, which I’d never experienced at a hotel before. The whole visit left me frustrated and affected my mood on the trip, and I regret booking here. Friends, this is what happened to me personally. The room design felt cheap and poorly planned, the soundproofing was terrible, and the facilities were far below what I expected for the price. Breakfast had very limited choice, tasted poor, and the staff were unfriendly. They also forgot to leave drinking water in the room on the first day. The next day I asked the front desk for some, but got no response. I went back and waited a while, and nobody followed up or sorted it out. This was by far my worst hotel stay in Batam. Travelers should think carefully before booking Alltrue Sydney Hotel Batam Center.

The hotel is just off the Batam Centre jetty, less than 15 minutes away, and the staff were friendly and helped with our bags. Our room was big, spacious, clean, and new. Toiletries and basic amenities were provided, along with two bottles of mineral water daily. Breakfast had enough food, including local favourites, and I could see staying here again. We had a blackout one night, but they promptly moved us to another room. Some of the beds are hard and others softer.

The room was spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the stay was marred by a few problems. Both toilets clogged, one toilet bowl seemed loose enough to come out, and the mirror in the other room was defective. I also had severe diarrhea after eating breakfast at Alltrue Sydney Hotel, which made the experience worse.

We ended up checking out at 5 a.m. because insects were biting us in the room. At this price, it didn’t feel worth staying. The room was spacious, but had lots of insects, and the service was very poor. Even the manager couldn’t handle the situation properly. We arrived three hours before check-in and asked for a room nearby. When check-in time came, we were given the farthest room instead. It also had connecting doors to rooms on both sides, which made us angry and disappointed.
