The location is great, and from the sea-view room you can catch the sunrise. Walk a little and you can get to Barelang Bridge for sunset, with a great seafood resto right across the way. The room itself was very basic, with poor interior design, and getting there meant going down a long flight of stairs.

The scenery facing the bridge and sea was great, and it was windy at night. But when we arrived, the room hadn’t been cleaned and was really messy. There was a hole in the door, letting ants in, and the area was very dirty. Great location, though.

We stayed in rooms 1 to 3 from 24/12 to 25/12. The rooms were tidy and clean, and both the front line staff and the boss were really friendly. We’ll book again.

The room I paid for was the Barelang Suite, booked with a Traveloka voucher, but at check-in they put me in a Matahari Suite instead. They said the Barelang Suite wasn’t ready, and didn’t respond to my complaint, even though the room prices were different. I felt I’d lost out. This is really an inn, not a hotel. There’s no hotel service, and the receptionist is just at the restaurant cashier. The room had no outlet to charge a phone, and the sheets and blankets were dirty and seemed to have been used by other guests without being changed. Don’t stay here if you don’t want to regret it for the rest of your life.
