When my daughter had a medical emergency during our stay at the Marriott Batam, the staff responded quickly and attentively. They did everything they could to help and kept checking on her. Their support made a frightening situation manageable, and we’re very grateful. It was also my birthday, and the team surprised me with a celebration without either me or my husband asking. That thoughtful gesture made the stay feel personal and special. We expected a clean, beautiful hotel and friendly staff when booking a Marriott, but the care we received here went far beyond that. The team treated us like family, and we’ll definitely return.

The staff made a real difference after our check-in was unexpectedly delayed. Traveling with our five-year-old could have made the wait stressful, but Mr. Pito at the lobby counter was sincere, professional, and quick to apologize, turning the delay into an afterthought. While our room was being prepared, Operations Director Mr. Lee treated our family to lunch at the hotel restaurant without being asked. That generous response says a lot about the management and how much they care about guest satisfaction. After lunch, my son ran over to the concierge desk to hug Pito. That spontaneous moment said everything about how warm and genuine the staff felt to us. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and comfortable for a family trip, and everything else during the stay went smoothly. The Batam Marriott Hotel Harbour Bay sets a high bar for service in the region. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a five-star experience.

This was my fourth visit to Batam, and I’ve stayed at Marriot Hotel each time. It hasn’t disappointed me on any visit. I’m very pleased with the service, and grateful to Risyah for going out of the way to get us lounge access when we were stuck on the rooftop. Vanessa served us wonderful cocktails, and Rejal suggested a jamu drink that made the experience even better. Thanks to the management for having such a capable, welcoming team.

The seafood at the Chinese restaurant is tasty and inexpensive, though the dim sum wasn’t very good, so I’d skip it. The team is attentive and the service is good. There’s a nice lounge, too. This is a standard Marriott hotel, right by Harbour Bay port, where lots of people come for the weekend. It was interesting to see that you can redeem points this way.
