The breakfast was a letdown, with very little protein among all the carbs. Even the omelet seemed to have more flour than egg, which surprised me. But the towels were the worst part. They were old, ripped, and looked like used floor mats. They didn't seem hygienic, and I couldn't bring myself to dry off with one, so I used tissues instead. Management really needs to improve basic hygiene and the quality of the facilities. For similar money, you can find somewhere much more comfortable.

I only needed a place for one night after my flight got rescheduled, and I won't be staying here again. My room was a decent size, but the bedsheet was stained and very thin, and the pillows were yellowing with stained cases. At check-in they asked for a cash deposit of IDR 100K. I didn't have enough rupiah, so the receptionist suggested leaving my ID card or passport instead. I couldn't believe she'd ask to keep an important document for that deposit. Luckily I had cash in another currency. The booking site hadn't said the room was for smokers. When I arrived, they told me the non-smoking rooms were full and gave me no alternative: take the smoking room or leave, with no cancellation option. The service was lousy.

The friendly staff were a real plus, especially Arlina, Yudha and Elisa. It's near Batam Center, with plenty of nearby food stalls and chains, including local and international options like Starbucks, McDonald and J.Co. Definitely worth it 👌👌👌😇

We paid less than 300k for a deluxe double, and the room was spacious and decent. It wasn't spotless, but it wasn't a mess either. There were a few stains on the bathroom floor, and barely any hot water. The bathroom had the standard soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste. When we raised a few issues, the service staff were friendly and pretty responsive. The location worked well for food. Lots of restaurants, street food and cafes are within walking distance, and so are malls. It's about 25 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the ferry harbour. The check-in left a bad first impression. We were told to sit and wait while the receptionist shuffled papers. Then, partway through checking us in, she answered a call and stayed on it for close to 10 minutes. She could have asked the caller to hold for the few seconds needed to finish our check-in. Learn to prioritize, miss. The stay wasn't too bad, but I wouldn't come back.
