We ate at Svarga twice, and the whole crew were genuinely keen to help and give guests warm hospitality. For 148,000 RP nett, the Padang meal was nice: shredded beef soup with lean meat and aromatics, a bit reminiscent of Viet pho, my favorite; savory chicken satay that didn’t taste sweet like Singapore’s; and fermented tapioca for dessert, which I’d never tried before. The food wasn’t greasy and felt well balanced, with a good choice of proteins and vegetables. Given the setting, cleanliness, and hospitality, we thought the buffet was a good option. Our hotel stay was nice too, and the staff were helpful and hospitable.

Monica gave excellent service, and I’ll definitely stay here again. The breakfast at Svarga had a wide selection, freshly prepared, warm, and full of flavor. The hotel was spotless, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to Nagoya Hill Mall. Best hotel experience around Thamrin City!

Debby was so helpful and professional. My son loved the bread butter pudding at Svarga Restaurant, where the food was delicious. The room was very comfortable and the hotel clean. I’ll definitely come back on my next trip to Batam.

Staff were generally friendly and polite, but the room was disappointing. The aircon pointed at the sofa instead of the bed, so it felt hot when we were trying to sleep. The TV kept stopping partway through a channel, and we had to press the remote every few minutes. We’ve never had that issue at other hotels. The floor was dirty enough that our bare feet turned black. We won’t be coming back.
