The room was spotless and fresh, with clean towels, crisp sheets and pillowcases, and hot water for the shower. I also appreciated arriving to a room that already had the air conditioning on, so it was comfortably cool. The stay was worth every rupiah, pun intended. Thanks, Botania Homestay, you'll be my first choice whenever I return to Batam, and that'll be quite often. The wifi is good and complimentary too. There was a power failure at the property on my first day, but Mr. Tian handled the recovery outstandingly. He personally arranged a round trip to another property and made sure I was picked up the next day.

The street traffic was clearly audible and disturbing, and the employees sleeping and talking loudly beside the rooms made it hard to rest. There was no water in the toilet or shower. I was on vacation in Batam, but felt unlucky to end up in this hell of a hotel. I waited until morning, checked out early, then booked a normal hotel so I could shower and sleep. Please don't choose this place, I wouldn't want anyone else to have the same trouble. I'm asking the Indonesian hotel specialists division to inspect it and cancel its permit. This is the worst hotel in Batam, and one of the worst on earth.

The actual rooms looked very different from the photos on the website, and I didn't like the stay at all. It wasn't pleasant, and I wouldn't recommend it.
