The Music Hotel

I read plenty of reviews on Google, TripAdvisor, and Agoda before staying here with my partner, and wanted to see for ourselves. For a budget stay in Batam, I had a nice, comfortable visit and would recommend giving it a try. I've stayed in worse hotels around Asia, and this wasn't as bad as many reviews suggested. We checked all three room types, standard, superior, and deluxe, before choosing superior. The hotel is listed as one star, though I'd personally give it two. The rooms are dated and could use attention, but they're still comfortable. The old box-style TVs have cable, and the air conditioning gets cold. There's no lift, so older guests or people with disabilities should choose one of the larger rooms on the ground floor. Staff speak only basic English, so if you don't speak Bahasa Indonesia, you may need your driver or taxi driver to translate.
