The airport is nearby, and the room was cozy enough for resting or relaxing. The walls could be thicker though, since sounds from the next room still come through.

The noise is what made this stay go from a possible 3 stars to minus 4 for me. I'm extremely intolerant of it. While we were asleep, the cleaner next door kept knocking around loudly, apparently on purpose. There was also a baby crying upstairs, so we asked to move to the ground floor, and the thin walls let us hear neighbors talking and bass music. At night, the air-con made a constant tic-tac sound. We'd checked out of Batam View Beach Resort after two nights to go shopping, then wanted to book a third night there but it was full. Other hotels were expensive, so this was the only reasonably cheap option for one night's sleep before we headed back to Singapore the next day. The setup felt more like a love hotel, like Hotel 81 in Singapore. A few other issues: the toilet's inner door handle was rusty, the bidet spray holder was loose, there was no basin for brushing our mouths, no bedside table, and no peephole in the door. I initially thought the shower had no hot water, but it warmed up gradually. The internet was so poor that I had to use another free Wi-Fi network, fh_ssid (12345678).

It's a fairly new place with a minimalist, stylish look, and it was spotless. They supplied two small bottles of water and toiletries. Batam airport is about 3km away, with plenty of food places and shops behind the hotel.

Clean place and good service, but I couldn't sleep well because it was a bit noisy. Some walls are wooden, so outside sounds carry in. Also, no smoking 👍
