The receptionist was friendly, and the rooms were quite good, with enough cleanliness for a short stay. I did find two medium-sized ants, though, and there was no refrigerator. Parking for cars is very limited. The rooms aren't soundproof, and the highway noise came through clearly enough that I couldn't sleep well. Fine for a day, but not much longer.

The cafe was a highlight for me: it opens very early and has good coffee starting at only 10k. There's also a cozy seating spot where my son could play, and the front office staff were always ready to help with my things since there's no elevator. We stayed two nights over the Lebaran long holiday for 450k, without breakfast. The Ragil room was tiny, had a funny smell, and no windows, but the bathroom was stylish. They provide a kettle and a water dispenser outside, which mattered to me with a toddler. The hotel is very close to Jatim Park 3, while a Grabcar to Jatim Park 1, 2 or Alun-alun costs about 40-60k.

The hotel has nice architecture, with semi-ethnic decor in the room and a small balcony. Staff were friendly, and the room was clean, though after an hour I noticed plastic waste under the bed. They should check every corner before guests arrive. The main street location is busy, and the traffic noise made it hard for me to sleep. Food was good, but when I asked for other menu choices, there were only nasi goreng and soup, and the portions were small, like for a baby. Still, it was a pleasure to stay at Briggs inn.

We booked a double bed for Sunday night through Monday. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a Javanese feel, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We liked the food from the cafe, including beef lasagna, nasi cumi cabe garam (rice with salt and chili fried squid), crispy tofu, and an iced Americano, all at a good price. Since the cafe was closed Monday, we ordered breakfast online.
