DARMO HOMESTAY is a good option if you’re looking for budget accommodation. It’s a bit far from Malang station, but close to tourist spots, especially Alun· Batu, about 10 minutes away. You can book through Traveloka too. The room was very clean and tidy, and the bathroom has hot and cold water, which is handy for children so they don’t get cold. I really liked that the parking lot is inside and visible from the room window. Feels safe from motorbike theft!👍🏻

For 200 thousand, I got a double bed, private bathroom, working hot water, android tv, a dressing table, and even snacks. Really worth it, I think. It’s very close to the viral cafe paolo, and the service is 10 stars in my book. I messaged on wa on D-7 to ask the price but didn’t book right away. I got back in touch the day of my stay, luckily the room was still available, and the price was still the same when I checked again 🥲🫰🏻. I don’t know, I just think this is the best homestay service. I think I’ll stay here again on my next holiday.

If you’re heading to Batu and need an affordable place, I highly recommend this. It’s comfortable and clean, and the service is very friendly.

I stayed at a nearby homestay once, and with its parking lot and the shoulder full, I left my car at Darmo Homestay. Unfortunately, both the right front and right rear tires were deflated. To the homestay attendant, if you need the parking space, just say so. Don’t deflate the front and rear tires. A total waste of money.
