Nice.
I liked how close it is to Batu town square, just a short walk. The room's a little cramped, including the space for praying, but that's okay for the low price. I loved that the TV couldn't be used, whether for YouTube or local channels, so we watched the TV.
For the price, this guest house has decent facilities. It's near Alun-alun Batu and Mie Gacoan. Batu is already cool enough that I was fine using just a fan. There's a smart TV with YouTube and free WiFi, and the bathroom is decent, with warm water, liquid soap, and two towels. They also provide two small bottles of drinking water, free Aqua refills, tea and coffee, and cutlery you can borrow. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Batu.
The cleanliness was well maintained, and for its price range I thought this hotel was really good. It's also conveniently placed for walking around, about 500 meters from Alun-alun Batu. Service and amenities were good too, including a water dispenser with tea, sugar, and coffee for guests. A few things could be better. There were lots of ants around the room. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did affect comfort. The shower was somewhat clogged, which made switching between shower and faucet modes difficult. The toilet's position was odd and made it hard to defecate. The TV service wasn't great either. It uses a digital set-top box that depends on WiFi, and with the slow internet, channels took a long time to load. The box's software was slow as well. Hope this is helpful.
We booked two rooms since one was for our child. The building still looks new, and for around 100 thousand it felt worth the money. My first room was clean and smelled nice, but being by the road meant constant vehicle noise. I switched to one at the back, which was much quieter, though the bathroom had a musty smell.
