The garden is lovely, breakfast was nice, and the woman hosting us was genuinely kind and tried hard to help. But she seemed to get no support from the owner, and that showed in the rest of the stay. Our room felt neglected and poorly kept, with stains on the duvet and no cleaning while we were there. The shower barely ran, and at one point there was no water at all. We reported the problem several times, but nothing changed. The AC also struggled: even after running all day at 15 degrees, the room stayed warm and stuffy. The hotel is far from the center, so getting around without a scooter is difficult. There was usually nobody at the property, and they gave us no number to call if we needed help. When we asked to leave early, the owner was completely uncooperative. The nice garden and host couldn't make up for how disappointing everything else was.

We stayed at Ermaja's Pavilion for five days and had a really nice time. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice, and we enjoyed the cozy outdoor living room. The surroundings were lovely too, and the service was good. Happy to recommend it.

We ended up in a joglo-style room after booking this place based on some good reviews. I still wonder if last-minute accommodation is really that hard to find in Batukaras, since some places don't seem to be listed online. The outdoor bathroom was my favorite part. It had a little jacuzzi, though it took ages to fill. The garden and landscape were beautiful and lush, and the cozy, homey feel was nice. There were lots of cats, which kept my child entertained. Breakfast was decent: two servings of fried rice, tasty fried bananas, and orange syrup that was much too sweet. Sleeping was the big problem. The mattress was extremely thin and had no proper base, so I could feel the floor underneath. It left me more tired when I woke up, and rental rooms really should have a better bed. The room itself was tiny, with no nightstand; the drinks tray and kettle were on the floor. There was hardly room for our things or a suitcase. We were lucky to have our own car, so we could go back and forth to get what we needed. The door was so low that I kept hitting my head, and I'm not even tall! 😭 The AC was very noisy, and its remote didn't work, which made sleeping even harder. My child even asked to go home in the middle of the night, lol. It was really uncomfortable to sleep there. If I stayed again, I'd choose a room in the main building, which seems like a better option.

We were lucky to find The Ermaja's Pavilion. It's a lovely, unusual place to stay, and my wife really liked it. Mr. Yanto was polite and very helpful, the breakfast was great, and the price was affordable.

This villa was so cool!!!! The receptionist was super friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in. The architecture and interior are incredible, and it feels like home. I'd definitely come back! 💯💯💯🫶🏼🫶🏼🩷🫵🏼
