Green Valley Resort

The bathroom was the biggest problem: the bathtub leaked and left the floor damp, which made it uncomfortable to use. I booked through Traveloka and check-in went smoothly. My executive room cost 391,000 IDR and was passable for a short stay, but some furniture was damaged, including a broken chair and the cabinet around the mini refrigerator. The digital clock didn’t work, and the TV isn’t a smart TV, so there’s no YouTube or streaming. They also charged 50,000 IDR for a meal for my 5-year-old. Fine if you only need somewhere to sleep, but not ideal if you want comfort or plan to spend time in the room.

The view was the one good part. The building is old and poorly maintained, and breakfast was bad, especially the egg counter. The woman there couldn’t make a decent omelette. The pool was dirty, and one morning my bathroom had no hot water. It took more than 1 hour to fix. The AC and TV remotes didn’t work properly either, and the staff weren’t very friendly.

The deluxe room is spacious, with a veranda, bathtub, and hot water that ran all the time. The hotel has pools, but they’re for children. Breakfast was so-so, like the usual hotel menu. I don’t think management looks after the place well enough. A lot of areas were dirty, with garbage scattered around.

The public rooms are attractive, the bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and spacious, the service is attentive, and breakfast is good. Cleanliness is the one concern. There aren’t many choices in the area, and this hotel has hosted Indonesia’s Presidents several times.
