For the low rate, the sheets were fairly clean, the AC cooled reasonably well, and the hot water worked. The TV channels came through, though the screen was tiny and its remote didn't work, so we used a phone remote app. The toilet smelled, and the pool was the biggest letdown: it hadn't been cleaned when we checked in at night. The receptionist said it could be cleaned for us to use the next morning, but it still hadn't been done by the time we left at 9 AM. There's a small garden behind the rooms. Dogs sometimes barked from beyond it and scared our kids into running off, though their owner came to handle them a few times and they stopped. The homestay is about a 30-minute drive from the city center. For a short trip, a stopover, and a place to sleep near Jogja, it was still worth the price.
