Strawberry Hill Hotel & Restaurant

The design felt especially thoughtful for a place in the mountains. I loved the extensive use of wood, the detail throughout, the thick glass that kept out the cold and road noise, and what I guessed was a sofa that turned into a double bunk. The bedcover was wonderfully warm, and I slept well with no traffic sounds, just crickets. My colleague and I seemed to be the only guests, probably because it was midweek in low season. I liked the open fireplace and snug that could warm the restaurant, though it wasn’t lit that night. We had grilled fish for dinner with an excellent sauce, good enough that my colleague ordered more, and properly steamed vegetables. Strawberries were on the menu but out of season, so I’ll have to return when they’re available. It seems one of the owners may be an architect. I really admire the care put into this unique, charming place and how well it fits the mountain surroundings.

The cabins were comfortable and well kept, with mountain views and lovely grounds. Everyone on staff was so welcoming, and the restaurant served nice homemade meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There was a complimentary shuttle to nearby attractions, including the traditional market, botanical gardens, and Pura Ulun Danu Bratan. Thanks for having us!

I checked in late, but the reception staff member still welcomed me warmly. It was a great experience, and the facilities were well maintained.

The cabins are cozy, with great views, lovely landscaping, and a clean property. I especially liked the artistic woodwork on the doors and frames. Breakfast was delicious, included with the stay, and delivered right to our cabin at a time we chose. My wife has stayed here a few times, but this was our first visit together. I’d definitely recommend it for a romantic getaway.
