It’s not right in the center, but the place feels safe and comfortable. The layout works well, with lots of rooms, a washing machine, and a kitchen. Good for staying with friends or family. The staff and owner respond quickly when something comes up.

You can swim for free at the water park in the complex. Pelangi Guesthouse is not far from the center of Tanjung Pandan and feels more like a residential complex. The building seems fairly new, with comfortable, clean rooms. Each has its own bathroom, AC, and water heater. There’s a kitchen with cooking utensils, and the house has a modern, minimalist look. Outside, beanbags give you a spot to relax. Rates start at around 600 rupiah per house per day, which is a bargain! 😜

Affordable, and not bad if you’re traveling with a crowd.
