The meeting rooms stood out to me, with plenty of space, modern equipment, and traditional ornaments and wall paintings that gave them a local feel. I also found the staff friendly and attentive, and the rooms comfortable, spacious, and equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a desk, and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. Hotel Santika Bengkulu is right in the heart of the city, which made it easy to get to Fort Marlborough, Pantai Panjang, and Bung Karno's House. It works well for both business and leisure, and I’d recommend it for a stay in Bengkulu.

Plenty of food options nearby, and the parking area is spacious, with covered parking for motorcycles. The elevator feels a little cramped, but it was fine overall. Reception and staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

After hours on the road, Santika was a nice place to rest. I like that they keep things simple and include local dishes at breakfast. The service also seems consistent across this local hotel chain. Breakfast was delicious, but the facilities and finish could use improvement. I was put in a smoking room with a burn mark on the table, and there was no door or partition around the shower to stop water splashing out.

The food had lots of delicious choices, and the staff were the friendliest I’ve met across the Santika hotels I’ve stayed at. I’d gladly return when I’m in Bengkulu. Highly recommended.

There are several restaurants close by, and the location is easy to spot and get to. Room service was quick. The lift felt very small, maybe about half the size of a regular one, and the pool was small too. I wouldn’t swim at night, since apparently there are caterpillars in the water then.
