I wouldn't recommend this hotel. A few hours after I booked, my flight was cancelled twice, then moved to an unclear time because the aircraft had technical problems. I didn't feel safe getting back on the same damaged plane, so I decided not to travel. I explained what happened to the hotel, but they wouldn't meet me halfway or refund my money, even though only a few hours had passed since I booked. I also asked if they could simply change the dates, since my sister was meant to arrive later and stay two nights without me. They refused that too. I travel often, and other hotels have usually been understanding and helpful in similar unexpected situations. This hotel showed no flexibility or care for my circumstances, so I wouldn't recommend dealing with them.

As a solo traveler, I'm so grateful to the staff here. They went above and beyond when helping me deal with a troubling conflict at a store. Their kindness is really clear, and it's one reason I chose to holiday here. My room was comfy and clean, and the shower was impressive. Thank you to everyone who made my stay feel so welcoming! 🙏🫶

The people are what keep bringing us back to Bukawa Lodge. Arthur, Andri, and the whole team are always around, incredibly friendly, and make sure we're looked after. This was our third stay, and we'll definitely return. We booked an apartment for three weeks, and it couldn't have been better. The service was so attentive from the start, and anything we needed was handled right away. The room had a very comfortable bed, great air conditioning, daily cleaning, good shower pressure, and everything we needed for a long stay, including a fridge. The Joy Café & Restaurant is right below the lodge, which makes meals easy. There's also a market around the corner and plenty of nice warungs on the same street. Huge thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay!

We had a great time here. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the staff are amazing. There's a hot shower, and the location is good. I recommend it.

Joy Cafe and Bukawa lodge have become like family away from home 😍 Mama joy makes amazing food at the cafe, and Papa joy is such a great server. Every meal is really affordable!
