The rooms smell, the AC doesn’t get cold, and there’s no daily housekeeping, or even every other day. The whole place has an unpleasant smell. I paid cash, outside the app, for an extension. They promised me a refund, but I got nothing.

The room smelled, the bedsheet was dirty, and water leaked at the shower. The staff member was not hospitable. I work in hospitality, so I can clearly say that opening a room door without knocking is not okay. Check-out was at 12. At 11:45, a staff member suddenly opened our door without knocking. Only my husband was in the room, getting ready to check out, but imagine if I’d been there instead. Hotels should knock even when they’ve inspected and know a room is empty. After we complained angrily, he said he would report my husband to Pecalang. They were in the wrong and didn’t take it seriously.

Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, including local places that don’t feel touristy, and it’s just a two-minute walk out the front door to the beach. I enjoyed my stay and thought it was great value for the price. The staff were great, the bed was comfortable, and the room was nice with a lovely balcony to sit on. Hot water in the shower was hit or miss.

The beds were comfortable and the TV was good, but this was one of our worst stays on the trip. The air conditioner took hours to cool the room, there was a mildew smell throughout, the shower floor was very dirty, and hot water took 10 minutes. The restaurant by the pool left you feeling very exposed. The front desk refused to help and said maybe in the morning. There’s a lovely vegetarian restaurant on site, but it’s expensive by Bali standards.
