POP! Hotel Nusa Dua

The service is good, and for the price the room is okay. There isn't a refrigerator, though they do leave complimentary snacks. The toilet is small and seems a bit like a portable one, but it works fine. I don't think they refill the water. Parking is outside the hotel, with no guard nearby.

The staff are so kind, gentle, and always smiling. They even helped wash, peel, and cut up fruit I bought from local shops and brought to the restaurant, and they never refused to help. When we asked reception for a small work table because our room had no desk, they brought us two nice desks. Housekeeping cleaned wonderfully whenever we needed it, and there was always water, tea, coffee, towels, and everything else we needed. We went upstairs for breakfast every morning. It was delicious, with a lovely view, and I recommend sitting in the non-smoking area. Some days breakfast was from a menu, and other days it was a buffet. There is also a swimming pool, though we haven't used it yet. We parked our bike beside the hotel in a secure area where there was always a security guard. He even helped us cross the road the first time. I'd definitely recommend this hotel. It's the best one I've ever stayed in!

The staff were so friendly and attentive, and we couldn't fault any of our interactions with them. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was a mixed experience. The hotel rooms don't really look like the pictures on Agoda and other booking sites. They're old and dated, and some seem like they need renovating. The shower is odd too, almost like a train bathroom with its sliding door. We'd planned to stay four nights but left after one. We had to change rooms on the first night because of ants. The staff moved us within half an hour, which was great, but there were ants in the second room and then again at breakfast, so we decided to leave. The breakfast buffet was small and limited. When we arrived at 9 a.m., it looked like items that had run out weren't being refilled. There's a tiny gym, but the A/C was so poor the heat was almost unbearable. It might be okay for one night, but for a longer stay I'd look elsewhere.

The room felt quite cramped and claustrophobic, with no proper ventilation. We had to keep the air conditioning on 24/7 to be comfortable, since switching it off quickly made the air feel suffocating. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, professional, and welcoming.
