The hotel is in beautiful Nusa Dua, tucked away enough for a quiet escape while still close to shops, restaurants, and attractions by taxi or Grab. We arrived at 1am and were warmly greeted by staff who already knew our names, then driven to our room and personally shown in. Everything was effortless from the extra conversations we had with the hotel by phone and WhatsApp after booking through Luxury Escapes. The room was magnificent, spacious, luxurious, and unlike anywhere we’d stayed before. The staff, food, drinks, service, facilities, and housekeeping were all wonderful. Every staff member we met gave genuine five-star service, with so much warmth and care that nothing felt like too much trouble. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to returning.

We were choosing between Hilton, just five minutes away, and Hotel Ulu Segara luxury suites & villas, and I’m glad we picked Ulu Segara. The room was huge, with a stunning ocean view, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. It’s quiet without noisy tourists, so you can relax on the balcony with a bottle of beer and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

The ocean-view room really made our time at Ulu Segara Resort special. We also had a good range of breakfast choices, and the staff looked after us attentively, especially the bell driver, who was incredibly helpful. The property itself is beautiful, and we left feeling relaxed after a very pleasant stay.

DO NOT BOOK. The beach was poorly looked after, with no upkeep and even trash left around. Inside, the property felt very old, the decor was worn, and there was a strong musty smell in the room. Cleaning seemed inadequate on the tiles, carpet, and in the bathroom. Half the TV screen was dim; it still worked, but the picture quality was very poor. The bedding smelled strongly of mold, and it triggered a severe allergic reaction for me. When I called the front desk, they only sent housekeeping to change the sheets. We also asked to move rooms, but that request was ignored. After a short apology, there was no follow-up or real effort to resolve things. It ruined our anniversary trip, and I hope nobody else goes through that. Breakfast was a letdown too. There was little worth mentioning, the omelet was badly made, and the ingredient choices were extremely limited. The experience was the worst hotel stay I've ever had.
