ZEN Premium Nusa Dua Pratama 2

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I thought the hotel was good value. Rooms are large, the bed is huge and comfortable, the shower was very nice, and the TV had lots of channels. Breakfast buffet was good, although cappuccino costs extra. I didn't eat at the restaurant after paying almost $16AUD for a large bintang. The pool was nice, but the glass around it needed cleaning. There were just six sunbeds, plus a few tatty, dirty bean bags that really need replacing.

The room was pretty good and the shower excellent, and I found the pool area pleasant. But the dirty glass windows meant we couldn't see the view. Breakfast was extremely poor: food had no labels, there was no explanation of where to get tea or coffee, tables weren't set, ingredients were poor quality, juices were cheap, and I had to use a teaspoon to butter a dry, old croissant. Service was poor too, with too many staff chatting instead of helping guests. They ran out of small beer and other items. After seeing uncovered food upstairs and a chef handle cooked rice with bare hands, I didn't use the restaurant. This hotel could be amazing with a good general manager and better service overall. We spent all our time at the Sofital, where service was excellent, and I'd recommend paying a little more to stay there.

Back for my second stay at The Nest Hotel Bali, and it was just as good as I remembered. Breakfast still had lots of delicious choices, and the room was excellent again, clean and really comfortable. The staff are so friendly and make you feel at home. It's easy to get around from here, with the beach just a five-minute walk away. I loved the rooftop too: the restaurant has a great Balinese dance show, and the sunset from the pool is stunning. Can't wait to return for a third stay!

The rooms have plenty of space, but the mattress and pillows weren’t comfortable. Laundry was very expensive, around $25 AUD. I’d spend a bit more to stay nearer Nusa Dua Beach.
