Had a great time at this villa. The location worked perfectly, everything was clean and well looked after, and the staff were quick to respond and really helpful. I’d come back! 😊

The stay was a disappointment from the start. We had originally booked two nights over Eid, but the villa was fully booked, so we moved the reservation to April 18 - April 20, 2025. They confirmed it, and I paid the full amount in advance. A week before check-in, the ily's marketing team told us the villa wouldn’t be ready on our arrival date because a broken pump had left the pool dirty. We were then told we could only stay one night, April 19 to April 20. The illys team tried to help by offering us a canggu villa, but we’d been looking forward to Kedungu and had already planned everything around it. We asked if we could still arrive on the 18th and simply not use the pool that day. The villa refused, saying the pool would only be ready on the 19th. We accepted, disappointed. We weren’t expecting anything complimentary, just for the villa to be ready when we arrived. When we got there, even that expectation was gone. Only the room was clean and tidy. The pool and jacuzzi water was cloudy and mossy, the chlorine smell was pungent, and the kitchen was dirty and dusty, with moldy cooking utensils. Then the power went out around 9 pm and again at 2 am. It made for a scary vacation. Through all of this, the villa manager showed no sense of guilt about what had happened and didn’t show his face from our arrival until checkout. Only gung ma, the young man who helped us, was attentive and very helpful. We tipped him.

The facilities, service, atmosphere and cleanliness all get five stars from me. Price gets four, and my verdict is five. Villa Cabana was a great experience, and I’d return when I’m back in Bali. I’m usually wary of brand-new villas because the service or other details might not be ready, but everything here was better than I expected. The rooms were incredibly spacious and clean, and there was a kitchen and a pateo inside, so the facilities felt complete. Outside, the pool was huge, and there was a jacuzzi too. Between the paddy field, tropical greenery and decor, the atmosphere was amazing. The soothing massage was the best part. Couldn’t have been better. Wish I’d taken some photos during golden hour 😅

The rustic feel and enormous pool made this my favorite villa stay in Bali. There’s a jacuzzi and massage beds too, and it’s perfect for pool parties. My family and I had a wonderful time. I’d recommend it, and only wish we’d stayed longer 😆👍
