Being close enough to walk to Nuanu City was a real plus. I could relax at Luna beach club too. Entry to the city cost 20, while the beach club was free, though renting one of the pricey sunbeds was an option. The service was good most of the time, and they got me what I needed quickly. I stayed for 10 nights, and there were some frustrations. Insects, including huge spiders and scorpions, were around. They provide insect killer, but dealing with that was stressful. The bathroom is outside, so keep that in mind. The road right outside is in really bad shape, and taxi drivers often cancel. You may get stuck or have to walk to a better road. Most places to eat are far away, so delivery costs quite a bit.

The staff made our first week in Bali especially memorable. They were so kind, and Gusde deserves a special mention for the great work. The garden and pool were maintained daily, our room was cleaned and towels changed every day, and it felt better than a five-star hotel. Max's concierge service was quick and convenient, with reasonably priced options for meals, breakfast, massages, activities, and scooter rental. I got sick during the stay, and they arranged a doctor to come to the villa. I paid 20 euros, which reassured me I wasn't being overcharged. Thanks for all the care, service, smiles, and thoughtfulness. We’ll be back 🩷 The villa itself was clean and beautifully designed, tucked away from the busy center of Canguu. It was about 100 meters from Luna Beach Club and the beach, and a 15-minute scooter ride from town. We rented a scooter, and the nearby roads were easy to manage by scooter or car. On the first day there were a few small, harmless caterpillars inside. Max and his team fumigated the whole house straight away, and we didn’t see any more insects after that.
