Bali Diamond Villas

The rooms were clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. There’s no room service, but ordering Grab food is easy, and restaurants are only a few minutes away on foot. Convenience stores are roughly a 5-10 minute walk away too. After dark, though, it gets very dim because there aren’t many streetlights, so I wouldn’t recommend walking around then for safety.

I liked the view and the black beach, but there was no privacy around the backyard or pool. The villa felt old and smelled moldy, and it needs renovation, fresh paint, and new furniture. I also didn’t enjoy breakfast being cooked in the villa by someone who came in to prepare it. I’d rather have it made elsewhere and brought over.

Our family stayed in one of the villas at the back, a good spot if you want to surf since Keramas is just a short walk along the beach. There’s parking right outside, and the villa was comfortable and cleaned every day. We enjoyed the breakfast too. It’s a quiet area, with a few local places to eat and Commune a short walk up the beach. The front villas look beautiful and seem a bit more expensive, probably because they have their own beach access and 180-degree ocean views. We’ll definitely come back.

The breakfast was pretty mediocre, and the location is remote from other parts of Bali, so I wouldn’t use this as a base for exploring. Still, it’s right on the beach, with private access and an amazing view. Falling asleep to the waves was quite an experience. The black sand and tall, powerful surf are great if you’re into surfing. The price is reasonable, and I’d recommend it.
