It’s peaceful here, though the quiet can feel a little spooky. The old building has a nice concept, and there weren’t many guests, perhaps because it’s in a small town. Unfortunately, my room’s AC barely worked and I was sweating even with it on. I hope management can get things running better.

The concept and the view are a welcome change from the usual hotels, and both are great. The cleanliness and upkeep could use attention, though. A group of high school kids were partying by the pool until 10 PM last night.

For the price, the villa my family rented was fairly cheap at 2,5million rupiah, so I wasn’t expecting five-star service or facilities. But a resort still needs the basics. I stayed one night and found the place poorly cared for. The bed and couches were the worst. I had a UV light with me and used it after dark; it showed heavy staining across the sheets, pillows, blankets, and even some couches. I can’t say whether it was from previous guests, but the stains were everywhere.

Dinner’s rawon was pretty good, and minimarkets are close by. The hotel itself feels old, with few guests and not much choice at breakfast. My superior room had a mostly wooden interior. It was calm, but at times so quiet that I felt a bit scared.
