RedDoorz Apartment @ Bogor Valley

I paid Rp 300,000 for two rooms after booking through social media. We'd arrived in Bogor around 9 PM, and the attractive ads had convinced me to book. The stay was a huge disappointment. The first room was okay, but smelled unpleasant. The second was awful: cigarette butts on the sheets, a foul odor, and a bathroom that didn't work. I asked to switch rooms and got one that was a little better, but the walls still had black marks that looked like water stains, there was a dusty smell like an abandoned house, and the water pressure was very low. There seemed to be a lot of inappropriate activity at the accommodation, with prostitutes coming and going by elevator. I ended up leaving and moving to the Savero Style Hotel at 3 AM.

The listed price was 80 thousand, but checking in at night meant a long wait because the apartment owner had gone home and we needed confirmation. In the morning, the security guard came, then Mrs. Paulina called and said I had to pay another 200 thousand. I was stunned.

I made a booking through the app, but they said they weren't working with me. I suspect the listing was being used to draw people in so the owner could change the price. Be careful with this apartment management. Look for somewhere definite.
