I stayed for a couple of weeks, and the age of the hotel shows. The pipes are rusty, and broken water comes out of the hot water pipes. The WiFi didn’t work in my room, and staff made no effort to fix it. The front desk staff didn’t seem very professional. One woman seemed to think it was fine to giggle while I was there. I think service standards may be an Indonesia-wide issue, since I see it everywhere. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

There’s a morning market right in front of the hotel, and Bogor station is nearby. The hotel is old, but at under 200k it’s still a good deal for backpackers, especially with a view as a bonus.

For a holiday I’d look for another option, but this was comfortable enough for a stopover. It’s an older hotel with Standard, Superior, Deluxe, and Suite rooms. The bed, sheets, floor, and bathroom were clean, though the chair wasn’t. The air conditioner worked, hot water was available, and there were cable TV and WiFi. Breakfast was a choice of fried rice or bread with tea or coffee.

Efita Hotel was a comfortable and enjoyable stay on a low budget. It’s on a paved street near other facilities, and Bogor Palace is only about 1 kilometer away, so getting there is easy. The price is around 300K-500K. If you’re visiting the palace, you can stay here as long as you like.
