Bhumi Kasuryan

It’s wonderfully quiet here, tucked away from residential areas, and I slept really well. The views of the mountains and Borobudur Temple in the morning felt magical. The setting is simple, but the stay was still a special experience, and the price felt fair for the facilities and service. I’d come back someday, and think you should see it for yourself too.

A big advantage is how close Bhumi Kasuryan Homestay is to Borobudur Temple: about five minutes by motorbike, ten by bicycle, or around twenty minutes walking. The staff were warm and happy to help with directions and local information. The homestay was clean and comfortable, with a peaceful feel and a lovely view. A great place to relax. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Borobudur. 💗💗💗

There are just four rooms, so it never felt crowded or noisy, and it was a comfortable place to unwind. Breakfast had traditional and Western options, along with fruit and traditional snacks. From the spacious pavilion, I enjoyed the fresh air in the morning and a beautiful sunset later in the day. My room was roomy and comfortable, with a terrace facing the rice fields, a nice place to sit in the morning sun. The view from the front also looks over the fields toward the top of Borobudur Temple. The staff provided very good service and were friendly and helpful. I loved staying here, it was relaxing and pleasant.

The view from the dining area was probably my favourite part, with rice fields, a gorgeous sunset, and a clear glimpse of the top of the temple. It’s a quiet location within walking distance of where you need to go, and they have push bikes for exploring the villages further out. This felt more like a luxury hotel than a homestay. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The hosts were welcoming and made delicious food: dinner was available on request, and breakfast each morning had plenty of local and Western choices plus fresh fruit. They offered us tea or coffee whenever they saw us. We’d stay again.
