We had such a good time that we kept extending our stay. The guesthouse-owning family are wonderful, and they’re very helpful. Breakfast is included and was amazing. We rented bikes through them and got lists of places to visit. They even drove us to our next accommodation without asking for money. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the location and value are great.
I stayed four nights at Maher House, and the host made check-in easy, responded quickly, and shared useful local tips. It’s close to Candi Borobudur but quiet enough to sleep well. My room was spotless and well organized, just as described, with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Towels, drinking water, toiletries, and a hot water shower were provided.
A tasty basic Indonesian breakfast is provided, and they rent scooters for 100,000 a day. Ours was in excellent condition. The staff were amazing, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Lovely hotel, definitely recommend staying here.

I love this place and think you will too. I’ve stayed at Maher guesthouse on and off over the last few weeks, and it’s been a wonderful experience. The hosts are warm and lovely, breakfast is always nice, and the free coffee and tea are great. The rooms are comfortable and have modern TVs with YouTube and Netflix if that’s your thing. The street and surrounding area feel peaceful, and the main street’s restaurants and other places are an easy walk away. Thanks 🙏
