The room was huge, with a desk and several lighting options, and the bathroom gets nice natural light through its window. Everything worked well, including the AC, hot water, TV, and Wi-Fi. It came with towels, soap, coffee and tea with a kettle, plus a toothbrush and toothpaste. The bed and bedding felt like something from a five-star hotel. The family running the place are really kind and attentive. I planned to stay a couple of days and ended up there for a week. I ate there a few times, and the nasi goreng was great. During the day they also offered snacks, fruit, and drinks. I had the best banana ever, and the fried bananas were great too. There are a few cats around, and you might see some chickens, though they don't belong to the family. I also had my laundry done, and it came back perfect. Borobudur's villages are a must, with tidy lanes, interesting spots to see, and lovely views. This place is in a quiet village, five minutes from the main road. It's about 15 minutes by motorbike to the temples and five minutes to the chicken church and sunrise spot. The owner kindly took me by motorbike to nearby places several times, including for a 3:30 am sunrise.

The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities. They kept me well fed, too. There was a choice of tea or coffee as a welcome drink, then a morning drink the next day. The ginger drink was delicious. Fried food came as a welcome snack, and in the morning they served arem-arem and gethuk. Really excellent service.

It's peaceful and quiet here, but still close to the temple and other attractions. I got to chat with the owner and his family every day. If you're up for a bit of adventure, book this place.
