Emana Abian Taksu

It takes a long time to reach attractions from here, around 20 minutes or more by Grab, and the airport ride was almost 2 hours. Still, we felt the extra travel was worth it for this beautiful location. The Grab from the airport worked fine, and the staff welcomed us warmly even though we arrived at 9PM. Our room was beautiful and immaculately clean. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout. We especially remember “Tutik” for being so helpful, and our housekeeper “Yoga” added creative touches to the room. From our porch on the first morning, we had a beautiful view of Mount Agung. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had, and they could accommodate vegans when asked. A great stay, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.

The restaurant is 10/10, and we also appreciated the complimentary minibar drinks, breakfast, and afternoon tea. The pool and jacuzzi were well maintained, and our room and linen felt fresh, clean, and luxurious. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place about 30 min from the city centre, depending on traffic, and worth the journey for the tranquil setting and nature views. The hotel is new, but the service is well run, with attentive staff who go above and beyond. Everyone was lovely, especially Wira at reception and Lia. They surprised me for my birthday with flowers and a cake.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at this new hotel in Bali, which opened in mid-December. The room was spacious, with a bathtub and shower, and the bed was huge with an amazing mattress. There’s a swimming pool and jacuzzi as well. Rice fields surround the property, so it was very peaceful and relaxing with no noise bothering us. Breakfasts were excellent, and the other meals were just as good. The staff were fantastic, always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed. Special mention to Sanjaya 😆

We stayed at Emana Abian Taksu in Payangan, Bali, during its soft opening in late 2025, and it was delightful from start to finish. This brand new hotel sits among lush rice terraces and greenery, just a short drive from Ubud’s attractions, including Tegallalang Rice Terrace. The rooms, outdoor pool, sun terrace, and garden were all spotless and felt pristine, with that unmistakable new-hotel shine. Its modern design fits naturally into the surroundings, making for a serene, peaceful stay. Free WiFi, parking, and the on-site restaurant were convenient, too. The staff were warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to make us comfortable during the soft opening. We’ll definitely stay again. Hopefully prices don’t skyrocket after the official opening, since the value is excellent right now. Highly recommend for a quiet retreat near Ubud!
