I’ve stayed at Puri Kasih Gottlieb twice, and it’s still my favorite place to stay in Bali. It’s tucked away from Ubud’s busy streets, so you get fresh air, quiet, jungle sounds, and beautifully landscaped grounds that feel like a private sanctuary. Getting into town takes 20-30 minutes by car, but with Ubud traffic that felt fine to us. The staff made us feel at home both times. They were genuinely kind, always smiling, and went out of their way to arrange transport and spa treatments and help with the little things. Our Deluxe room had great views, comfortable beds, modern amenities, and a touch of Balinese style. It was spotless and well kept, with a spacious, nicely designed bathroom. Waking to the sounds of nature outside was lovely. The infinity pool looks over lush jungle, and the jacuzzi felt like our own private hideaway. We also enjoyed cycling through nearby rice fields on the free bikes. The hotel can arrange scooters and taxis for trips into Ubud. Breakfast was fresh and nice, especially the homemade jams, and eating outside among the gardens added to it. The restaurant has Asian and European food, though a lot of the dishes are deep fried. It’s a little out of the way, but that’s part of the appeal if you want a peaceful stay with comfort and warm hospitality.

We spent three days here with our family, six adults and four kids, and everyone was sad when it was time to leave. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food choices were good, and there were some Western options for the kids. Prices felt very fair compared with other hotels nearby. I’d recommend booking a driver for activities in and around Ubud. This stay was a lovely experience, and I can’t recommend the hotel enough.

Breakfast with that breathtaking jungle view was a highlight. The pool just outside the room looks out over the rainforest, and the rooms themselves were spacious, lovely, and spotless. It’s a beautiful spot for a peaceful stay surrounded by nature, away from the busy side of Ubud. The staff were so warm and welcoming. I’ll be back!

You can spend the whole time enjoying the scenery at Puri Kasih Gottlieb, a remote cliffside property above a rushing river. The views are incredible, the facilities are impressive, and the rooms are wonderful with fully stocked bathrooms. Staff are there around the clock, and the service feels like a full resort. The daily breakfast is cooked to order, the rest of the menu is excellent, and prices are more than reasonable. With a place this scenic, you may not want to leave just to find food. There’s plenty to do on site or nearby: book a massage or yoga, take a hike on a local trail, then come back to the pool and jacuzzi. You can even drink fresh coconut picked from a tree on the property. For a quiet, luxurious escape amid lush mountain scenery, with no traffic or people bothering you, this place has everything I could want.

Everything about our stay was lovely. The location was incredible, and the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We loved the infinity pool and massages, and breakfast was both tasty and healthy. Huge thanks to everyone working there, especially Ade, who took such good care of us. Best.
