The woman who greeted us was friendly, but the man I assume was the manager was no help at all and seemed to be trying to scam us. I got the impression he thought we’d be easy targets as European tourists. The cabin and bathroom were dirty. We had to ask for fresh sheets because ours were stained, there were marks from squashed insects on the walls, and the sink was especially bad. Breakfast was okay, though there were ants in the box. We visited in April 2025. The cabin and coffee idea sounds nice, but our stay was far from good. I’d say skip this place. If you’re going to IKN, take a day trip from Balikpapan instead. It should be easy to hire a driver for the day through your hotel.

The room is a good fit for a backpacker or someone travelling with just a small bag. The cafe serves nice food.

The food could use some work 👍. The place is unusual, though, and it was comfortable to sleep there. Clean, cool atmosphere, and good service.
