My family and I stayed one night while on holiday, and this review is only about that stay. For a hotel said to be four-star, I can give one star for the friendly staff and tidy gardens. Everything else was awful. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, the room phone wouldn’t make calls, the power outlets didn’t work, and the kettle leaked and wouldn’t work either. The bathroom had visible mold and soap scum everywhere, a leaking toilet, no hot shower water, and a broken light and fan. There were cracked tiles, no air conditioning, a broken Do Not Disturb button, and damaged cupboards. Breakfast was meant to be served at 6:00am but wasn’t ready until 7:00am, so we couldn’t eat before leaving at 6:30am. There were other issues too. For a stay costing 900.000+, the facilities fell short of what we expected and weren’t good value compared with other four-star hotels. I can only imagine how it was when it opened in 1992. Now it’s a rundown, nonfunctional, useless one-star building. I feel for the good staff working there and hope senior management plans a major remodel to bring it back to its former glory.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, with rates starting at 700.000IDR per night. Breakfast was convenient, and the hotel has a swimming pool and other amenities. It’s in a quiet spot not far from downtown. The building is a bit old, and maintenance could be better, though it’s still acceptable.

I really liked the architecture, and the staff were so nice and friendly, but the room was a nightmare. It was very old, had no air conditioning, the TV looked like it was from the 90's, and the toilet was awful. With a serious renovation, this hotel could potentially be like sheraton bandung.

The hotel was huge, nearly empty, and far out of the way. People say it’s haunted, and it did feel that way. There was no air conditioning or buffet breakfast, just frog choruses echoing along the endless, lonely corridors. I should’ve picked somewhere livelier near the town center.

The architecture is beautiful and well designed, but the rooms and the hotel itself weren’t that good. It’s so large it feels more like a villa, and there’s only a swimming pool. For the price, it didn’t feel worth it: it’s 2KM from Jam Gadang and getting a taxi is really hard. The place needs more maintenance and restoration. The TV was old and blurry. I know it’s meant to have an old-fashioned style, but come on, at least get a flat screen or a newer TV. It’s 2017. :))
