Resort Prima Anyer

We were happy with our stay. Breakfast was fried rice with fruit and tea, which was nice, and the AC was cool enough. It looked old but worked properly, so I think they maintain it well. The hotel has a lovely view and a nice room. The bathroom was clean, with hot and cold water in the shower. I’d suggest replacing the old, unclean-looking mats by the bathroom and entrance doors.

A good place for a family or company gathering. It’s a quiet getaway with a private beach, and the room is spacious enough for two extra beds. There are two pools, one for kids and one for adults, plus mini surfboards for rent and meeting and dining rooms. An evening barbecue with music would be fun here. The room has AC, a TV, refrigerator, cupboard, hangers for laundry, and two towels. There’s also tea and coffee with an electric kettle. The bathroom has a hot and cold shower and a seated toilet. I don’t know what the other rooms are like, perhaps there are luxury ones.

The restaurant food wasn’t too bad, and the beach is the one decent part. It’s not too crowded and has a fairly beautiful view. I stayed in a Deluxe room, but it was dirty, especially the toilet. The AC didn’t work properly, the TV was old, the windows barely opened, and the door wouldn’t lock. The soap had a sticky smell, maybe because it was old. You can find somewhere better for about the same price.

The pools on both sides of the hotel were rarely clean. There were dead insects and other things floating on the surface. During my stay there were also lots of flies, both inside and outside my room. The rooms and facilities need a lot of maintenance. We paid IDR 365K for a standard room through a travel app, against the usual IDR 500K price. The toilet seat was broken, the room was dirty, and the cabinet was dusty. Service wasn’t great either. Breakfast was delivered the first morning, but the next day we were told to eat at the restaurant across the road. No thanks. They didn’t bring the room refreshments, so I had to ask, and apparently the hotel phone wasn’t working. The standard rooms are across the street from the beach-view rooms, a detail we weren’t told when booking. The beach-view option has a good view but is overpriced. For IDR 800K to 1M, you could get a 4-star hotel with a similar view and a better, cleaner room. Also, the beach changes from sandy to rocky every three months. Check with the hotel before planning to play on the beach, since it doesn’t always look sandy like the promotional photos.
