The pool was clean, there’s a washing machine and plenty of room to hang laundry, and one staff member gives a decent Balinese massage for 100k IDR. There’s also a communal kitchen, which you’ll need if you want coffee or breakfast, since there’s no kettle in the room and no breakfast provided. Those are the positives I could find. The bathroom smelled strongly of sewage. When we entered, the windows and doors were open and there was a faint odor, but I wanted to believe the room would be okay and ignored it. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut, and jamming a towel into the frame barely helped. You might get used to the smell while staying in the room, but going out and coming back made it hit hard again. The shower drain was open too, and mosquitoes kept coming into the bathroom. There was no soap or toilet paper. Noise was constant as well. A woman who had been staying there with her Schnauzer for over a year was nice enough, but whenever she went out for hours, the dog cried and barked nonstop until she returned. Behind the hotel, a stonemason spent all day cutting and polishing volcanic rock for decorative temple bricks, with a saw or grinder running. Maybe we were just unlucky with the sewage smell. There were about ten units, and more than half seemed to be occupied by Russians who had clearly stayed a long time, judging by the furniture and decorations they’d brought in. I love a good value, and the cheap rooms plus a 4.5 rating from 79 Google reviews made this look like a jackpot. It turned out to be too good to be true. Don’t be fooled by the reviews. This place was horrible. Don’t stay here.

A quiet, relaxing bungalow with clean rooms and a clean pool. I loved all the greenery around it most. The staff were nice, and there’s a shared kitchen too. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you need a calm place to get away from busy city life.
