Dasa Wana Resort

Five stars, I felt completely cared for and relaxed here. Our spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa had air conditioning and sat among the jungle, where monkeys played and splashed in the water feature outside. There’s also a lovely pool with loungers and shade for reading or unwinding. The restaurant felt warm and welcoming, and the authentic Balinese food was fantastic. Local Balinese women cook there, and they were happy to spice up my mee goring at breakfast. The staff were attentive and so friendly. They arranged an interesting half-day tour in East Bali with local guides, handled laundry, and set up a soothing in-room massage through their local contacts. I’d absolutely return.

The terrace was our favorite part, sitting among the lush gardens just outside our room. It felt like paradise, with jungle sounds and no traffic noise. The beds were very comfortable, and every staff member was helpful and accommodating. We ate at the Dasa Wana restaurant each evening and loved the food. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

The owners, Adam & Jean, and the staff made our first Bali trip feel easy, welcoming us warmly and helping with everything we needed. The resort is a lovely pocket of jungle plants and wildlife, with monkeys visiting regularly. We did encounter some maintenance work on one building, but it caused very little disruption and showed the owners are working to improve the place. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant had a broad choice of fresh, quality dishes, and as someone who enjoys cooking, I was glad they arranged a very reasonably priced private lesson with their friendly chefs. The staff were always smiling, and clearly happy in their work. They seemed even happier when they saw guests enjoying themselves. D W Jungle resort was a great base for exploring east Bali. I’d happily recommend it for a relaxing holiday, and we’ll be back.

My first Bali visit was for a family event, and it turned into the best experience. My mother came with me, and we both felt so well cared for. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff were amazing. I’d give them a gazillion stars if I could. Sampai jumpa!
