It’s a small, personal boutique-style hotel in an unrivaled position, especially the front villas. The waves, heavenly sea air, excellent food, and fabulous staff who can’t do enough for you all made our stay. The chef was always willing to help, and Minnie is sweet and gorgeous. Wayan the owner and Ketut the manager are fantastic. Let them know your arrival time, and book an ocean-front room, those are outstanding.

What made our stay at Utama Villas so memorable was the people. My wife and I have traveled widely, but we’ve never had such a warm and close relationship with staff. They were eager to chat and share stories about the island, local customs, and everyday life. We’ll remember the stay for the rest of our lives, and send our heartfelt thanks and wishes for the hotel’s continued success and constant occupancy. The cottages are almost right on the beach, where the sea is calm, clean, and warm. The waves are relatively small compared with other parts of the island, and there’s also a pool overlooking the ocean. The cottages are decent and clean, with nothing to complain about. Restaurant food was excellent, fresh, and high quality. I highly recommend this hotel.

I live in Ubud, and this is my favourite weekend getaway. The ocean-view rooms make you feel as if you’re floating on the water. Set on one of Candidasa’s rare strips of white sand, the hotel has turquoise water and a cute little pool on the beach. It’s my happy place away from my jungle home.

It’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy the sea. On arrival, we got welcome drinks and were shown to our ocean-view room. It was comfortable and clean, with a great view. The staff were amazing, and breakfast was included and very good.
