Puri OKA Beach Bungalows

For value, this is probably the best place around Candidasa. I live in Bali as an Aussie and visit the area regularly. You get a sandy beach you can actually swim at, and the staff, cleanliness and layout are all excellent.

The gardens are gorgeous, and it was nice to have both the pool and the ocean to swim in. The pool and restaurant/bar look out over the water, and there's an outdoor massage area too. We may have just been lucky, but there were few, if any, mosquitos. I was here with two friends in June 2025. I stayed in a bungalow, while they shared the family room with bunk beds, two double beds in separate rooms, a living room and a balcony. The rooms were simple, clean and air conditioned. The family room had one AC in one room and a ceiling fan in each room. Staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. You can walk to the main street for shops, restaurants and spas. Aura wellness spa is great! The hotel can arrange a car and driver for trips, or a fishing boat for snorkeling. My friends really enjoyed a couple of hours out on the boat. It took about 30 minutes to reach the Blue Lagoon spot, and they said they were the only people there. I also stayed here with my boyfriend in 2013, and it's still a lovely place right by the ocean.

There's a beach and a pool to enjoy, and the whole place has a sociable feel. The staff are wonderful and welcoming, always ready to help. Rooms and bathrooms are kept in very good shape. The restaurant looks straight out over the ocean, with great food and service. The village is only a five-minute walk away. A lovely place in a lovely location.

The village feel here makes it like coming home. The staff treat you like family, and the food is handmade and divine. Set right on the beach, it's lovely to relax and watch the turtles play. Candidasa has a real gem here. Can't wait to return!
