The restaurant was amazing, honestly one of the best. The La Porde steak is my personal favourite! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, whether I needed a taxi arranged or had another request. They made me feel well looked after. Watergarden in Candidasa is wonderfully peaceful and natural. You walk through beautiful gardens to reach your bungalow, and the jungle-like surroundings make it easy to unwind. The rooms are on the darker side, but in a cozy way that gives them a warm feel instead of that bright “tourist white” look you see in many places. I’d recommend it if you’re after comfort, nature, and a chance to really relax.

We loved how relaxed it was to sit outside our room among the lush greenery. The room was amazing and clean, with a good shower and excellent privacy from having our own water pond. The restaurant food was very good too, and the steaks are highly recommended. Five stars from us 👍🏻

The wildlife was amazing, with frogs everywhere outside, especially after rain, koi fish in the ponds and “rivers” around the grounds, and monkeys visible in the distant treetops. The owners were helpful and accommodating, and the staff were amazing. It’s a beautiful secluded hotel, with stand-alone rooms set among what feels like jungle, each making its own little hideaway. The rooms are well made, with lovely bathrooms and big, beautiful beds, and it was well priced. There’s a great pool, and the attached dive shop, although not affiliated, was a great bonus.

The bungalows made for a peaceful, private retreat from Bali’s chaos, and I had a fantastic time. The staff were helpful and courteous. Since they offer diving training and open water boat trips on site, I couldn’t resist learning to dive, and I wasn’t disappointed. The restaurant steaks were the best I’ve ever tasted, definitely worth trying 😊

My bungalow was lovely and quiet. The fish pond and gardens just outside made it feel like I was away from the world. I had the pool to myself for 2 of my 3 days, and the sunloungers were comfortable. Everyone on staff was so helpful and couldn’t do enough, including with room service. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, especially the roast suckling pig and Bbq roast plate. I’m so glad I came back after sunset for dinner, yum!
