Villa Gusmania

The garden and pool are idyllic, calm, warm and clean, and the property is very well kept. Rooms are spacious, the indoor and outdoor bathrooms are amazing, and the bed is large with a great mattress. Though accessible, the hotel is set back from the main road, so there isn't much noise. We had our best sleep in Bali here. The caring, friendly staff member we dealt with spoke good English and made sure we had what we needed. He even offered to arrange snorkeling, bikes or boat trips. When we had a problem with a later boat reservation to Gili, the owner called the boat company to sort it out. They really went the extra mile. Villa Gusmania was the best hotel of our three weeks in Bali. 11/10, we'd go again. You won't be disappointed.

The garden, pool and villa were incredible, and the setting was so quiet and peaceful. This was the best villa of our three week trip in Bali. If you're going to Candidasa, don't hesitate, go here!

A little, quiet villa that feels very close to heaven. The garden is a dream, especially at night. Nice facilities, a nice swimming pool, and really lovely staff.

If you want to switch off and relax, this place is for you. Behind the beautiful secure front doors and high fence are gorgeous villas set among gardens and pools. They're roomy and thoughtfully designed, away from the main road and Bali's traffic and bustle. Our villa had two bathrooms with toilets. One had an open shower in an enclosed garden setting, the other a lovely bath. There was also plenty of storage in the walk-in cupboard, with a safe for valuables. Shops, food and spas were all a short walk away. For shopping without pushy bartering, we liked Family Shop. Everything was price marked, including clothing, and the young man who served us was delightful. The couple who own and run Villa Gusmania are great, quiet, hospitable and peaceful people who clearly love their surroundings and have settled into the Bali way of life. LOVED IT.
