Black Pearl Hostel

The place is clean, comfortable, well priced, and in a handy location. I stayed three nights and would have stayed longer if the main problems had been sorted. The Wi-Fi was painfully slow, and the air conditioning barely worked, so I was sweating all night. I asked them to fix it, but nothing really changed, and they didn't offer another room at first. I only got a better room on my last night.

Good value, with a laid-back atmosphere and two pools that were cleaned every day. It’s also really close to Motel Mexicola. My room’s toilet wouldn’t lock, and there was no free drinking water or dispenser.

The location made it easy to get around, with the beach two blocks away and plenty of good bars and restaurants within walking distance. There’s live music each night from different bands, plus a bar serving good food and cold beer. The staff were great, the design is lovely, and the AC worked perfectly. Everything was spotless, the showers are huge, and the beds are really comfortable. They even give you a towel bigger than I am. For the price, it’s amazing value. Best hostel I’ve stayed in.

I paid the cheaper price and still got good service. I’d highly recommend this hostel if you’re traveling solo in Bali.
